The Mind Meld experiment grew and prospered for the next fifty years. The human-Glort hybrids learned how to coexist and to optimize the genetic traits of both species. Fifty years into the future, however, the world is in dire straits. The O’Brians’ great-great-grandson, Ryker, his childhood friend, Cloe Wilson, and the successful Glort-Marine hybrids take the lead in attempting to create a new order in a post-apocalyptic world. The evil leader of an outlaw army, Harley Gibbs, plans to attack neighboring Ramona, one of the few remaining towns still thriving, thanks to Mind Meld Inc. Amid the turmoil, a freakish rip in the space-time continuum results in unexpected encounters with aliens from other parallel worlds, creating monumental challenges for the unusual alliance of humans, aliens, cyborgs, and alien-human hybrids as they strive to pull pockets of survivors together. They become the best, perhaps the only chance for the country to rise from the ashes of the cataclysmic series of destructive disasters.
There are many obstacles to overcome, battles to be fought, and mind-bending changes to the old reality. While preparing to defend their Mind Meld Compound and the local town from the impending raid, the intrepid heroes are confronted with the bewildering effects of a unique alignment of cosmic forces. This second edition will include illustrations of the characters, created by talented artist, Jim Richards. The first drawing is Gunnery Sergeant Buford Bodine. He becomes one of the alien-human hybrids, and eventually a cyborg with a brain. The second figure is Ulee, a primitive humanoid from a parallel world.
