Mind Meld Inc: Invasion, tells the story of an invasion of alien parasites intent on emigrating to the human world by infesting the brains of their victims, using them as a host. These invaders are from a dying parallel world.
The invasion goes wrong from the very beginning when they discover that humans, especially the U.S. Marines they targeted, are difficult to control. An unlikely coalition from three worlds band together to save the world and the aliens.
Retirees, Chase and Wolf O’Brian, are swept up in the resulting interworld upheaval, becoming unlikely heroes as they attempt to save the human world and the hapless part-human, part-alien invaders. Authorities in both the human and invading worlds want to get their hands on the new alien-human hybrids. Fortunately, the neutral parallel world of Talbeek is willing to harbor the fugitives until their fate can be worked out among the interworld leaders.

This revised edition will include illustrations of the characters, created by talented artist, Jim Richards. The first figure, below, is Tick-Sool, the leader of the amazing parallel world of Talbeek. The second figure is a member of the Pure Ones, the remnants of a dying world called Glort. I have been a sci fi fan since I was a kid, which was a long time ago. The first sci fi movie I ever saw was The Forbidden Planet in 1956. I loved Robby the robot! So, it's no surprise that my second and third novels were a science fiction tale of an alien invasion and survival in an apocalyptic world.
The first book takes place in 2018. The second book, The second book occurs 50 years later in 2068. I wrote these stories as soft science fiction because it allowed me to focus on the characters, their interactions, and their psychology rather than technology. To be sure, there is plenty of science fiction action in these books !
I rewrote the books because I'm a better writer now, and I wanted to make changes that I thought would enhance the reader experience. AND - I wanted to add illustrations to this version.
